The Third Week of September 

The week is off to a great start!! Happy smiling faces on a Monday morning :)

Having fun during FUNdations time! We kicked off our new phonics program this week,  the kids loved building words on their new whiteboards! 

The pen pal writing process begins!!! We started our rough draft letters to our pen pals at Holy Child Rosemont this week! 

We started reading the story "Super Storms" this week. The kids had fun identifying the main idea of the story and finding supporting details from the text! 

Showing off our skills in math class:) 

Writing prayers and reflecting in religion class! 

Working as teams in Language Arts Class to create full sentences with action verbs! The kids then presented their sentences to the class.

10/11 NO SCHOOL 

10/14 and 10/15 Picture Days

Please ensure you check your child's homework is completed each night. Check their home folder for any tests that may need to be signed and returned. 

Please send your child to school with a refillable water bottle each day. 

A smock is needed for art class. Please send in an old t-shirt that your child will store at school to use in art class. 

 

The First Two Weeks of September 

Welcome to Second Grade!
